The 2019 Old Capitol Tennis Championships feature pro tennis players from around the globe, including University of Iowa Men's Tennis team players.


This year's tournament will feature a 32-player singles qualifying draw, a 32-player main draw singles draw, as well as a 16-team doubles main draw. Iowa City is the first host of a professional tennis tournament in the state of Iowa since 1986. Iowa and the United States Tennis Association are elated to bring professional tennis to the state once again.


The Old Capitol Tennis Championships take place July 15-21, 2019. The singles qualifying tournament will begin on Monday, July 15, 2019. Main draw play begins on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. The doubles championship will take place on the Saturday, July 20, 2019 and the tournament will conclude with the singles championship on July 21, 2019. The Old Capitol Tennis Championships takes place at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex (HTRC) which is located at 2820 Prairie Meadow Dr. in Iowa City, IA 52246.


Players compete to take home a portion of the grand total prize money of $25,000. Also, players earn ranking points that improve their world ranking and help them advance toward their dream of playing at major tournaments such as the US Open and Wimbledon.
