The Old Capitol Tennis Championships feature pro tennis players from around the globe, including University of Iowa Men's Tennis team players.


The tournament features a 32-player singles qualifying draw, a 32-player main draw singles draw, as well as a 16-team doubles main draw. Iowa City is the first host of a professional tennis tournament in the state of Iowa since 1986. Iowa and the United States Tennis Association are elated to bring professional tennis to the state once again.

The Old Capitol Tennis Championships take place at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex (HTRC) which is located at 2820 Prairie Meadow Dr. in Iowa City, IA 52246.


Players compete to take home a portion of the grand total prize money of $25,000. Also, players earn ranking points that improve their world ranking and help them advance toward their dream of playing at major tournaments such as the US Open and Wimbledon.
